Crowd sourcing. I’m Looking For a New Online Survey Platform

It has recently been announced that FluidSurveys will cease to exist in 2017. I need to find a new survey platform.

About six years ago I began an excellent relationship with FluidSurveys based in Ottawa. I wanted an online survey platform that would meet two criteria:

1) Data would be stored in Canada;

2) It would provide greater technical sophistication when compared to the king of the jungle - Survey Monkey.

FluidSurveys has consistently exceeded my expectations. A provider with their servers in Canada offering great service and an excellent product.

You can imagine my disappointment when it was announced that FluidSurveys had been purchased by Survey Monkey. Well, I hoped, perhaps they’ll leave things alone and Fluid will continue as a higher end product. But this was not to be. A couple of weeks ago it was announced that FluidSurveys would cease to exist. In 2017, it will be absorbed into Survey Monkey. SIGH.

Last week I attended the CSAE Trillium Chapter Summer Summit. A number of my association colleagues are in the same boat. We’re all looking for a new platform. And so the search begins.

I have created a short online survey as a way of helping all of us who are looking for an alternative to FluidSurveys. Click on the link below and you will be asked three simple questions about the online survey platform that you’re currently using. If you leave me your contact information, I will provide you with the responses to this brief survey. Together we can find a suitable platform to replace our old friend FluidSurveys.
